Twenty-seven watts. Thats a lot of current to be
wasting away just for a little 3rd brake lamp assembly. Not to mention,
thats a lot of heat and one very inefficient design.
Our LED 3rd brake lamp uses a fraction of the current (less than 2.5 watts)
and emits a great deal of light. The modified unit comes in a black housing
with a clear prismatic lens. The prismatic lens helps diffuse the massive
amount of light emitted by the rectangular LED array. Our LED 3rd brake
lamp emits pure blood-red light that is visible from hundreds of feet away
and will last for many, many years.
